Let's Recycle!
This recycling program is FREE for our building. But we currently pay about $12,000 a year to dispose of our trash. If we all recycle, we could eventually cut down our waste enough to REDUCE our trash expenses. And we can all think of better ways to spend that money!
Recycling is Easy!
- Rinse out the bottles and cans.
- Break down boxes.
- Sort your materials into the listed below
- Drop everything off in the marked gray dumpsters in the trash area on the B2 level parking lot.
Categories of Recyclable Materials

Start with Aluminum
If you’ve never recycled before and are looking for an easy way to get into the habit, try just collecting one kind of material at first. Try collecting ALUMINUM to start with and add other materials little by little. Aluminum is a great place to start! Did you know:
- An aluminum can be recycled and back on the grocery shelf in less than 60 days. (source: The Aluminum Association)
- Making a can from recycled aluminum uses 90% less energy than making a can from scratch. (source: EPA)
Not Recyclable at the Metropolitan
